Adapet Pet CGM System

Failure to use Adapet Pet CGM systems as instructed in labeling may result in missing a severe low or high glucose event and/or making a treatment decision, resulting in injury.

Important:

If glucose reading and alarms (if enabled) do not match symptoms or expectations, use a traditional blood glucose meter for treatment decisions.

Indications for Use

  • For use in dogs and cats only
  • For use under veterinary supervision
  • For monitoring interstitial glucose levels
  • Not intended to replace blood glucose monitoring entirely

Contraindications

  • Do not use on pets with known allergies to adhesives
  • Do not use on pets with skin conditions at the application site
  • Do not use during MRI, CT, or diathermy procedures

Warnings

  • CGM readings may differ from blood glucose readings
  • Results may be affected by rapid glucose changes
  • Keep sensor and transmitter away from strong magnetic fields
  • Do not ignore symptoms that suggest high or low glucose

Precautions

  • Store sensors according to package instructions
  • Do not use sensors past expiration date
  • Check sensor site daily for irritation or infection
  • Consult veterinarian if readings seem inconsistent

When to Contact Your Veterinarian

Contact your veterinarian immediately if:

  • Your pet shows signs of hypoglycemia (weakness, trembling, disorientation)
  • Your pet shows signs of hyperglycemia (excessive thirst, frequent urination)
  • The sensor site shows signs of infection
  • CGM readings are consistently inconsistent with symptoms
