Important notification - Launch Delay of Adapet V plus CGM
Delay Reason: Potential for Inaccurate Glucose Readings
Adapet is voluntarily delaying the release of the V plus Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) system due to the potential for inaccurate glucose readings.
This issue has been identified to be related to a calibration issue, where the sensor can provide inaccurate readings (up to 5 mmol/L or 90 mg/dL) above the patient's actual blood glucose levels when readings are above 30 mmol/L (540 mg/dL). This could lead to incorrect treatment decisions, which may pose a serious health risk, especially in patients who require tight glucose control.
During product testing, we discovered this issue on our first received batch. Therefore Adapet has delayed the launch of the V plus CGM system until April 1st. If you have ordered V plus patient packs, they will ship on April 1st along with the Adapod devices.
This issue does not affect existing A1 CGM devices.
Pet owners and veterinary care staff are advised to continue monitoring their patients' glucose levels using an alternate method in the meantime, such as a standard blood glucose meter.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. Your patients' health is paramount to us and we remain committed to the safety and wellbeing of all Adapet CGM users.
